introduction
Versatile, Reliable, and Affordable Hydropower Solutions
Boasting a Much-Reduced Ecological Footprint
SAPG Technology Berhad (‘SAPG’ or ‘the Company’) was founded in early 2023 by Ken Keh Kean Loo and Khor Hai Pu, two engineering professionals and passionate sustainability advocates who, after years of frustration and sleepless nights, pioneered an ingenious self-adaptive hydropower technology that effectively eliminates the disadvantages of conventional hydropower while retaining its efficiency and affordability. Ken and Khor are confident their breakthrough will bring substantial benefits to all energy consumers, especially rural households and businesses whose energy needs cannot be met by other renewables or the national grid for any reason.
Vision
Accelerate progress towards a sustainable, carbon-free future by democratising access to clean, affordable electricity.
Develop and promote innovative renewable energy technologies that are versatile, efficient, and cost-effective, with minimal environmental impact.

Dr. Pat Howes
Hydrogen Expert
PROFILE
Dr Pat Howes holds a PhD in Chemistry and has more than forty years experience working in the energy business designing and developing chemicals, catalysis and absorbent systems.
Working from the early 1980’s on hydro-electric power system’s downstream storage and use of hydrogen in hydrogen-powered internal combustion engines (ICE). This system utilized catalyst for combining hydrogen with toluene to form methyl cyclohexane (MCH), which is a liquid that is easily stored in a conventional vehicle fuel tank. When the hydrogen is required, it is released from the MCH by passing over another catalyst. In this way only a minimal storage of gaseous hydrogen is required. Both catalysts were successfully designed and developed.
Dr Pat worked on the development of exhaust catalyst for vehicles, and also developed a system of water injection and emulsion fuels to improve the efficiency of the power generation in the internal combustion engine whilst at the same time reducing the flame temperature, thus reducing the production of harmful nitrogen oxides, and improving engine life.
In the new millennium, Dr Pat was a director and Chairman of Biofutures PLC a UK AIM listed company that planned of build a one billion litre per annum biodiesel plant in Malaysia. Biofutures underwent a reverse takeover by Graphene Nanochem PLC a producer biodiesel from waste materials e.g. palm sludge oil, that also produced commercial quantities of Graphene from biogas. Graphene is synthetic graphite and has many beneficial applications due to its light- weight, strength and high conductance, like in batteries where it enables greater energy density, faster charging and discharging, and without memory effects.
Dr Pat is still involved with the development of activated carbons from bamboo and other biological materials so that the carbon is sequestered within these very useful absorbents.
He continues his interest by consulting on efficient hydrogen storage systems and their use for generating electricity via fuel cells for static locations as well as within hydrogen fuel-cell electric vehicles.
Dr Pat maintains his passion and continues to work on, and consult for projects utilizing energy-efficient renewables and environmentally-friendly and sustainable resources.
